US single release: Eight Days A Week

Having held both tracks off the Beatles ’65 album, Capitol Records issued ‘Eight Days A Week’/‘I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party’ as a single on 15 February 1965.

Its release reportedly came as a result of US DJs playing imported copies of Beatles For Sale. The catalogue number was Capitol 5371, and it swiftly rose to number one in the singles charts.

Both songs were included on the Beatles VI album, released by Capitol in June 1965.
